Even though much is not discussed about the physical appearance of the Messiah/Servant except His marring by those who judged Him (52:14), a few details are given. In 53:2, Isaiah states that He will spring forth from the root of David, and as a developing child be considered tender (precious) in the sight of the Lord. The Messiah comes out of the stock of Israel, a nation who is spiritually dead (dry ground). And now concerning His physical appearance, Isaiah gives us two facts.
