Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Our nation’s capitol is in a virtual meltdown as accusations fly about the president’s health, as talks about a stimulus bill collapse, as families around the president come under attack, and as his enemies try to destroy him. The Psalmist speaks of times like this when he says in Psalm 2, “Why do the nations rage and the people plot in vain?” God is not disturbed by all this. “He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.” God is not rattled, God is not unsettled - let’s fix our eyes on him. God has a plan in the midst of this tumult and all of it is serving his purposes, even the parts we don’t understand. So we can trust in God’s power and purpose, and steady ourselves with the conviction that God will work out his plan and see to it that his will is done here on earth as it is in heaven.
