The Washington State Department of Commerce's Electric Vehicle Instant Rebate Program has seen participation rates three times higher than expected, with over 3,300 residents benefiting from rebates so far. However, with more than half of the program's $45 million budget spent, funds are expected to run out sooner than anticipated. The program aims to make electric vehicles more accessible to low-income residents.
