Michelle is a systems designer in the video game industry, that also loves a good cocktail. She introduced me to Malort back in the day. We met 8-ish years ago, and I’m so happy to have her on the show. We talk about some of the whiskies that she brought, shout out to Breckenridge Brewery/distilling, Waffle House, celebrity influences. A little warning we talk about a bit about self harm prevention in the middle of the episode (because around this time it was hard not to talk about). We also talk about our early years in the games industry. To anyone who has been through the early parts of a creative career, or is going through it right now. These stories are still relevant. Michelle and I both have been lucky to have been given as much grace as we have. Find the people you relate to and who care about it and you’ll get through it. Good drinking buddies help too 😀
In this episode of the season of lost episodes I sit down with Mark, trumpet player and member of the Atlanta Symphony. We drink gin and talk about how life is as a professional musician. One of our gin cocktails, the vesper, leads us into a Bond breakdown. We also talk about the late great Anthony Bourdain and our evolution as professional drinkers.
In this episode of the Season of Lost Seasons. My friend Kevin and I sit down with our rep for Whistle Pig Whiskey. We talk about how the brand built over time to become the luxury staple it is. How it is or isn’t marketed or sold in particular markets. We talk about special releases they make. We also talk about some of Lawrence’s other favorite drinks and what happened to all of us during the heart of COVID times. Join us as we sit down at Village Bourbon & Cigar to have some fine spirits.
Episode 4 of the Season of lost seasons (aka season 3) has Haley as our special guest and TC coming back for an appearance. I miss that deep smooth voice! Haley worked at the same restaurant as TC and I. She left just before the pandemic and also became a mom. We talk some industry shop with her, how the pandemic changed things, and how being a mom has changed her life. She also brings some amazing rum that we ended up finishing that night. This episode was recorded during game 2 of the World Series in 2001, in a parking lot, because restaurant life. If anyone needs to know, my daughter has since been able to beat me at Mario Kart since this recording.
Coming at you straight from my guest’s kitchen! Episode 3 of the season of lost episodes brings us to Cynthia, Director of HR at a company that we won’t disclose here. The biggest oops this episode….someone forgot to hit record for the first 45 minutes, so we rallied with fuzzy brains and managed to talk about everything we meant to (I think). Cynthia talks about her role in HR, travel, dating over 50, and of course our drinks (gin and sake). Come and learn about what an HR director does. Cheers!
Brother Benjamin joins me on episode 2 of the season of lost episodes. We worked at the same restaurant some time before this episode. Since then he went on a spiritual journey of sorts. So we get deep and talk about connection, psychedelics, consciousness, self engineering, and Uber driving. Joins us as we sip and wax philosophic.
Welcome to another episode of Wasted Knowledge! If you’ve never listened; it’s essentially drunk personal history with 2 professional bartenders, TC and Sean, and a professional guest that we make drinks for.
Well, that description is usually accurate. This episode is the very first interview we ever recorded, and it was with each other. We were trying to hash out the idea for the show and this is what came out. We didn’t know what was going to happen with this, but seeing as how the world is a bit crazy (COVID19) we thought we might as well release this and bring a little extra happiness out into the world.

This is part 2 of the Shawn and Colin interview. In this part we dig a little deeper into their musical past and talk about their first industry check, parts of the work they like, the “last funny thing”, favorite drinking experience, meet Steve the mandolin player, and play a much larger version of mix, match, malort.

This is part 1 of episode 8, our interview with musicians and podcasters Colin and Shawn. We talk a little bit about their show, scrimshaw, music, touring, music industry algorithms, and “zoomers”. Colin and Shawn are super fun and really have a lot to say, so we hope you enjoy this interview.
