Watch The Rail

Alex and Kristin start to wonder what has happened to the Wizard on this season of Deadliest Catch. Then, they recap episode five by discussing the Summer Bay's fridge situation, Bill's fashion choices and a run-in with the Southern Wind at dock. Meanwhile, the rest of the fleet is in pretty good shape on the fishing grounds.

Alex and Kristin respond to Harley's first full episode back and the end of king crab season for the Summer Bay, Time Bandit and Cornelia Marie. Then, Kristin asks Alex which boat he'd prefer to be a deckhand on and which one he'd like to co-captain.

Alex and Kristin react to Harley's shocking return on Deadliest Catch season 17, episode 3, "Point of No Return," as well as Scott's decision to leave and the Summer Bay's long-delayed start to the King Crab season. Then, they gush over this season's first excellent Jake episode, in which the Saga loses its life raft and fishes against a tight deadline.

Alex and Kristin recap Deadliest Catch's "Russian Dragger" (S17, E2), in which Captain Keith does enough screaming for one lifetime, Mandy proves Sig wrong, and Jonathan gets a call from a Russian.

Alex and Kristin discuss everything from the dense Deadliest Catch season premiere episode, including Jonathan's return, Sig and Mandy's beef, the Summer Bay's heart-wrenching start, and the bleak future of the fleet teaming up.

Alex and Kristin offer up their instant reactions to Sig Hansen's pep talk, Jonathan Hillstrand's cameo, the Wizard's traffic jam and everything else they saw in the 'Deadliest Catch' Season 17 teaser trailer.

Welcome to Watch the Rail, the only 'Deadliest Catch' podcast in the fleet! Each week, armchair greenhorns Kristin and Alex will recap an episode of their favorite Discovery Channel show, discussing everything from crab counts, quotas and staffing issues to Bering Sea weather, fashion and facial hair.
