Watchin the skyline back at the ranch

Listen Later

Watchin the skyline back at the ranch

So many moons have revolved

Since our friendships evolved

Back when silly was funny

Thunderstorms were sunny

Watchin the skyline back at the ranch

Bikes and cars long before the bars

In the fields underneath the stars

Knew nothing so we had no cares

Laughter, dancing while the radio blares

Watchin the skyline back at the ranch

Ride that raft down the raging stream

Tougher than anything joined as a team

You strayed hard right and I’m all that’s left

Do you drown those days clanging weights you heft

Can’t see the skyline from a crooked branch

Take me to the river, take me so far back

Still water reflecting smiles, not even a crack

Stop making waves just listen to your heart

Bring it back together don’t keep ripping it apart

And we’ll be watchin the skyline back at the ranch
