This August, we are doing a worship series at my churches on Summer Pastimes and how they speak to us of the life of faith. Each Friday we will turn from the lectionary gospel to the one we’ll be hearing at the Christ Churches, this week Luke 10:1-9. The second installment in our “Summer Pastimes and the Life of Faith” series focuses on travel.

This week we look at John 6:24-35, what happened after Jesus fed 5,000 people on five loaves and two fish. As the people clamor for bread from heaven, he explains that He is the Bread of Life. How's that?
