This week looks a little different with the Boyz, because there is no intro! this week was just a little to crazy and timing just couldn't match up for us. The good news? We got an interview with the USPORTS rugby player of week Emily Duffy! first we dive into Duffy's very athletic childhood where she play a total of eight sports growing up and didn't start playing rugby until grade 11. Then the Boyz and Emily talk about the UPEI rugby program as whole and how it  use to be the laughing stock of the AUS and now is  becoming one of the best programs in the country. The last thing the talk to Emily about is all of her recent success she has had and the work in the offseason paying off off her in a big way!

In the words of Justin, “we are back back.” We finally have three cameras again and that means higher quality, hotter opinions and back and forth debate for the ages. The boyz did not shy away from debate after Montreal announced their 31st captain. The 23-year-old Nick Suzuki is young and fresh off the assistant captain role but Justin thinks he’s ready. Then, with week one of the NFL wrapped up, we present to you the winners and losers of the opening week. The NFC’s unstable QB situation leads headlines in Dallas, San Francisco and Seattle. The AFC picked up where they left off and remain competitive for a majority of teams. Sean Fisher, new UPEI women’s hockey head coach, joined the boyz to recap an impressive resume and deliver his expectations of the coming year. But the Stirling, Ontario native was more excited to talk about his favourite farms from back home. Fisher has spent the better part of 18 years with the University of Manitoba where he and his team won the national championship. After getting a taste of the head coaching role. Fisher packed up to Vienna during covid and won bronze in league playoffs. Fisher chose the Maritimes over the prairies in the lightning round and we at the Waterboyz are excited to welcome him to our Island!

The Boyz are back Baby! Season 3 of the Waterboyz Podcast is back and in a massive way! To kick off what is to be the best season of the Waterboyz yet, Justin, Grant, and Taylor start by easing back on the couch and catching up about their summers. To begin the sports talk, the boyz discuss the unbelievable NHL off-season. Calgary was the center of attention, but the boyz also gave some love to the Toronto Maple Leafs and Carolina Hurricanes. Flash forward and the boyz discuss the shocking record of the New York Mets and how they have yet to fall off the map. Don’t worry either you worried Jays fans, the boyz bring up the streaky season it’s been for the fans of the six. Football season is here ladies and gentlemen, week 1 kicks off Thursday night and the boyz are pumped up for it! Grant still remains high on Juju, Taylor is calling for an excellent year for Broncos Country with Russell Wilson now under command, and Justin still has his delusions about the Pats. Finally, before Ryan Graves's appearance, the boyz dive into all the Island sports that are coming up and the coverage they expect to be providing! To debut season 3, the boyz were joined by former Charlottetown Islanders D-man and current New Jersey Devils blueliner Ryan Graves! Talk about kicking things off with a bang. Ryan joins the Waterboyz for a discussion on making a go at it in the NHL, all the struggles and triumphs of being called up a couple of times to the NHL and what it was like making the move to New Jersey. A lot has changed in season two of the Waterboyz. A new co-host, more guests, more sports and feature episodes of our co-hosts Justin, Taylor and Grant.  But a lot remains the same with sports news and in depth athlete interviews. Before Jack Howatt joined this episode, the boyz had plenty to discuss with Montreal coming up big in the NHL Draft, Blackhawks fans disappointed and Arizona looking sharp but acting foolish.   Then, after QMJHL discussions, the boyz are looking ahead to the upcoming football season. Will JuJu be a top 20 WR with Mahomes throwing bombs? Will Mac Jones save the Patriots this year? And will Russell Wilson revive the Broncos' glory from a few years ago? But hey, at least the Waterboyz aren't A's fans, eh?  Then Acadie-Bathurst Titan goalie, Jack Howatt, hops on the podcast to discuss his time with the Charlottetown Knights, recent draft by the Titan and what he looks forward to as he continues the move from major midget to the QMJHL.

With two episodes left in the season, the Waterboyz had plenty to talk about. From Kevin Durant requesting a trade and rumors of where he will end up to the never predictable MLB. Will this be the year of the Yankees? Will Toronto fly high in August? Will the Cubs even out? And where do the Padres stand? It's all in the first half of today's episode!  Next Co-Host, Justin Arenburg, has his time to tell tales of breaking curling brooms, having high blood pressure as a 10-year-old, and curling with his brother. Justin then discusses his career in soccer where he managed to tear his ACL and realize his calling as a sports journalist.

Join the Waterboyz in a recap of all things sports, hot dogs and missing co-hosts! With Justin "Mr. Statistic" Arenburg attending to personal matters, Grant and Taylor talk Steph Curry's impressive championship with Golden State. Then, the boys discuss how and if Tampa Bay can gain back the lost momentum against Colorado in the Stanley Cup race. With finals in the NHL and NBA heating up, the Waterboyz had a lot to talk about. The Colorado Avalanche look good. But, are they good enough to take down the Tampa Bay powerhouse? The boys discussed their thoughts on the Stanley Cup Finals then moved to the NBA. All three hosts think there will be a game seven. But who will win? Then, the Cubs, Mets and Athletics face some criticism from the Waterboyz.  Once the dust settled from the debate, Taylor talks about his 0-6 rugby career, hockey chirping and going from school bus driving aspirations to sports journalism.

It has been a strange week in sports. The Waterboyz discussed it all, from highly questionable calls at Charlottetown Islanders games, a quick Colorado sweep of Edmonton, the NBA looking scripted and the Mets looking to prove Grant wrong.  Then, George joins the Waterboyz to tell the tales of his career. Driving a beetle that could only turn left, forgetting where a hardware store was while on air, to climbing his way into the booth for the Columbus Blue Jackets and back to P.E.I. again. Hockey hockey hockey!!! this weeks episode features a lot of hockey talk from the Boyz! First the guys preview the Colorado vs Edmonton series and then talk about who they think will come out of the Eastern Conference as well. The Boyz get into a heated debate about Jimmy Butler and ether or not his shot was smart or not in game 7. Our locally famous guest Lucas Hulton then joins the show to talk about starting his own Podcast, playing Baseball in Florida, life with a Dad as a QMJHL head coach and if the Islanders can go all the way this year.

The Boyz are back with another action packed episode all about sports but this time there are no new faces coming your way, thats right it's a full episode with just Justin, Grant and Taylor. First the Boyz debate the NHL playoffs and wether or not Kadri or Lucic's 'goalie hits' deserved suspension or not. After a heated debate there the Boyz debate if this is a successful season or not for the Dallas Maverick's. Then all the attention moves to Grant where he tells us stories from his days playing Hockey, and yes that includes eating wax and Football where he went 1-39 in his high school career.
