Would you rather have self-confidence or God-confidence? As Paul defends his change of plan, we see that God-confidence that rests on God’s unchanging promises enables us to love people courageously.

A Change of Plans, Not A Change of Heart.

Paul addresses accusations of insincerity and duplicity while lovingly pointing the Corinthians back to who really matters – Christ. If you live for God, and allow Christ to work in you and through you, then you can face life with sincerity, faith and courage.

In this life, we are guaranteed to experience suffering. In 1 Corinthians 1:3-11, Paul encourages the Corinthians that though they suffer, they are promised comfort from “The Father of Mercies” and “The God of All Comfort.” We can trust that God is with us in any affliction we may face!

In 2 Corinthians we step into the middle of a story. Listen for God’s rescuing grace as we walk through the story of Scripture and discover the sender, recipients, and primary message of 2 Corinthians.

Look up in worship and walk out in faith.
