This verse/statement is the reason why Paul is writing the letter of Galatians to the church. This purpose sets up the main idea of the book which is based on the centrality of Jesus/the Gospel.

In this opening paragraph Paul does two things. First, he defends His apostleship and secondly, he defines the gospel.

An assumed gospel becomes a distorted gospel that results in a different gospel. And such a gospel is no gospel at all.

In the Feast of Booths, God dwells among His people for their provision and protection. He is their LIFE.

All of the PICTURES in the Old Testament, Rules, Priesthood, Sacrifices, Tabernacle, and Feast Days pointed to Jesus Christ.

JESUS is the FULFILLMENT of the ONE Seed, ONE Covenant, and ONE Word.

JESUS is the guarantee that God is faithful to His promise AND will complete His design/desire for you and me.

JESUS is the promised Seed that all of Scripture points to. He is substance of every shadow.

The Bible tells a single Story and at the Center of this Story is JESUS.

The JESUS SEED always produces GOSPEL FRUIT and this looks and feels like working hard at pulling people in, treating them as family, and receiving them as they are.
