How To Trust In God Week 2
There are times in life when you have to take a leap of faith. In this installment of How to Trust In God, we look at the example of a man named Nehemiah who takes a bold step to follow God's call.
About this series: Like a loving father with his children, God wants us to trust Him. But it's hard to trust God when our circumstances feel uncertain, when the challenges seem overwhelming, and when we're not sure what to do. In this series, we'll learn from the story of Nehemiah, a leader who had to trust God in challenging times.

How To Trust In God Week 1
What do we do when we hear news that breaks our heart? What do we do when it seems like the world is falling apart? In this sermon, we learn from the story of Nehemiah how to trust in God when there's no good news coming our way.

Our church gathered the Sunday after wildfires consumed portions of Malibu, the Palisades, Altadena, and other portions of greater Los Angeles. So many spent the week asking some version of the question, "How long?" How long would the fires rage? How long would life be disrupted? How long would our neighbors be endangered? This is a question many people have asked throughout history, and when it is directed at God it is, surprisingly, an act of worship. In this message from Psalm 13, experience the journey from questioning God to relying on God to professing trust in God.

God doesn't care about the calendar the way that we do. But with each new day there is an opportunity to join God in building His kingdom. What will you be part of building in 2025?

The first Easter didn't begin with celebration but with confusion. And in John 20 the resulting confusion lead two responses: fear and doubt. But when Jesus finds his disciples hiding behind locked doors, he doesn't scold them or shame them. Instead, the resurrected Lord speaks this word over his followers (and us) in the midst of fear and doubt: "Peace be with you."
The Hidden Life: A Study in Colossians Week 10
Of all the things we can and should do with our lives, what is the point of prayer? In the last week of this series through Colossians we talk about what it means to be devoted to prayer and to pay holy attention to the world around us.
About this series: Our society places high value on visibility, but there is a hidden life the attention economy can't compete with. It's a life that doesn't just have less noise, but more peace. A life that doesn't just have less confusion, but more truth. A life that doesn't have self-imposed purpose, but an eternal one. There is a hidden life only Jesus can offer. Or in the apostle Paul's words a life "hidden with Christ in God." To receive and embrace this life is to experience a peace and power and purpose that can never be taken away. In this sermon series in the book of Colossians we will explore what it means to experience life in Christ.

The Hidden Life: A Study in Colossians Week 8
Jesus provides his followers with new life in him. But what does that look like day to day? How do you move from theory to practice? How does Sunday's gathering impact Tuesday afternoon? This week we look at a passage that is full of real ways for Christians to embrace and embody their new life in Christ.

The Hidden Life: A Study in Colossians Week 7
What we focus on has a way of forming us. Where we pay attention sets a large part of the direction of our lives. So what does it mean for Christians to "set our minds on things above" and how do we actually do that in the middle of our everyday lives. We dive into these questions and more in week seven of the Hidden Life.
