Wax Lyrical

In this episode, we are joined once again by our close friend Muhammad Musa to discuss the issue of mental health. It was a beneficial and candid conversation between three close friends where we got the chance to open up about our experiences with mental health challenges and share advice on the topic.

In this episode, we talk to our good friend Muazzam Mir about his experiences coming to the UK from Kenya to study, and the differences he saw in the communities at home and abroad. We also talk about the variances he noticed between communities in London and Manchester, as well as the Asian-Kenyan experience. We spoke about topics visited in prior episodes, but this time from a different perspective, trying to gauge how foreign students might view our own communities from the outside.

Eissa and Muhammad are joined by a special guest to discuss the topic of identity and nationality.

In our third episode, we explore the concept of identity and nationality with our long-term friend and geography whizz kid Muhammad Musa. The Diaspora is often referred to as "the involuntary mass dispersions of a population from its indigenous territories" and with over 7 nations and ethnicities represented just between the three of us, its safe to say we are definitely "children of the diaspora".
