Christianity rises or falls not on science or philosophy or psychology or suffering or poverty or hypocrisy or corruption or any of that.  The faith of the Apostles of Jesus and that of the earliest believers rises and falls on the resurrection of Jesus.

God's love for us and His commitment to our future has led Him to interfere, to destroy, to oppose, sometimes violently, and to do whatever else He has found necessary to slow our mad rush to our own destruction.
