Tune in this week to listen to Dr. Greg Waddell as he chronicles his own story from a young druggie to a missionary in Uruguay and Argentina. He  explains many of the moments that occurred after his conversion, specifically focusing in on the church that mentored him just after he came to Christianity.

Every now and then I listen to a podcast that demands a response, not because I feel attacked or feel defensive but because sometimes the arguments are really good and warrant a good conversation. And while we at Wayfarers are in the middle of a lull when it comes to deep dives I figured I'd throw this hour long episode in the mix where I talk about sex, dialoguing with Rhett and Link's podcast they have been releasing. Please know that I mean no ill will to Rhett and Link and only intend to discuss this issue from my own perspective. I mean this primarily to educate Christians to what other viewpoints about sex are out there, how we can respond and what we can do better at. Full disclosure: Rhett and Link occasionally make a crass joke during their sound clips so just expect that going in. 

His name transliterated from English to Hebrew, Jacob Dooley is sitting down with us today to discuss his Christian faith and journey throughout his past and how he wound up at Wayfarers.

Listen in as Tony Mask speaks this week on the important stories involving Jesus with some of his closest friends in the town of Bethany. Tony focuses on the different relationships with each of these family members and how each has their own specific role in service to Jesus while also having their own growth areas they need to learn. We hope this sermon edifies you as it did everyone at Wayfarers. 

Join us this week for our Sunday Service as Nick speaks from the well known passage of Ephesians 5, discussing the different roles of men and  women in marriage. Hint: It's probably not what you grew up hearing. Nick pulls from popular examples such as the Rise and Fall Of Mars Hill, a new podcast that CT has released. He discusses the difference between Mars Hill and Wayfarers as well as some helpful insights into the passage itself. It was a truly edifying sermon and we hope you learn something that helps you in your everyday life.

We walk through some of the recent studies in Paul and how several new perspectives on Paul have emerged in the last century. We try to unpack tomes of academic work in a one hour portion so forgive us if we truncate an argument or misrepresent at any point. Everyone is highly encouraged to learn for themselves from these various perspectives to help under the writings of Paul, the apostle.

If you've been a regular at Wayfarers then you know we've  been diving into this book, teaching through a lot of its dense and sometimes hard to understand passages. Nick teaches on a well quoted  passage from this book today and expounds on some of the different perspectives interpreters have had with this verse. We hope it edifies you!

This week we continue our survey of the book of Ephesians. We cover chapters 3-4 in this lengthy episode but we promise that all of our speakers have some awesome thoughts about how to read these chapters.  They cover everything from the name of God to apostleship and prophecy as gifts in the Bible. It's a wonderful episode and we are so blessed to have so many different perspectives to unite like Paul hoped.    

Also a correction: Noah mentions a theme that the Bible project lays out  about God concerning the attributes of God. He points to a passage in 1  Samuel for an example, however he grabbed from the wrong passage and  used the wrong word for the theme!! Silly Noah.    

The actual passage is found in Jeremiah 1 and the theme is not the voice  of the Lord but the Word of the Lord. In that passage it says the Word of the Lord came to him and after saying several things to Jeremiah the word of the Lord also interacts with him materially. This Sunday evening Nick takes an hour to walk through scripture  concerning church membership. He explains the different ways that churches handle membership, how church discipline has historically related to church membership, and how he hopes to guide Wayfarers through this process.
