Wayne Dawson, began his tv career ,back in the late seventies at the station he has always been at. Channel 8…. Fox 8 here in Cleveland Ohio . Dawson wasn’t supposed to be on tv.. he wanted to be a sportswriter.. We talk about his teenage years when he strayed from a purposeful path, to his Kent State days and recall when he was given a big break by Virgil Dominic. Wayne was in a reporter training program in 79, beginning a run of 43 years that is still going strong…….the next year, I walked into the building after spending more than 4 years working smaller tv markets… Dawson is not only giving the news, he’s the pastor of Grace Tabernacle Church in Lyndhurst, Ohio.
