In Episode #653, we explore the Illuminatus! trilogy, written in the 1970s by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson. It’s being adapted into Tales of Illuminatus, a new comic book series written and illustrated by New Jersey comic book writer and artist Bobby Campbell, who Wayne talks with this week, with the assistance of another comic artist, Todd Purse. This adaptation is being made with the permission of the estates of Wilson and Shea.
Readers are invited to go to their Kickstarter page here: (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bobbycampbell/tales-of-illuminatus-1-the-hidden-light) to order the first comic book in the series, which will be published on paper and digitally on September 14. It also is being published as a free serial on the Internet at talesofilluminatus.com. We discuss who the creators and characters are, how this book came to be, and what we can expect from Bobby in the coming months. Be sure to support this crowdfunding project before it concludes on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 11:43 AM EDT. Don’t miss this engaging conversation!
