In this week's sermon, Pastor Jermaine continues our Rebuild series. He tells us about what Nehemiah did before even having the opportunity to ask the king to go and rebuild the walls of Israel. Through prayer, getting God's heart, and mourning for his nation, God opened a door for Nehemiah to work on the wall that was grieving his heart. Pastor Jermaine also talked to us about honoring leadership. We might not always agree with them, but we are called to honor them. The king that Nehemiah served was oppressive to the Israelites, yet he was seen with high regard in the king's eyes.

In this week’s sermon, Leigh Ann continues our series on Nehemiah. This week, she speaks about Nehemiah’s prayer in Nehemiah 9:1-37. In this passage, Nehemiah and the Israelites are recounting God’s faithfulness from creation until the point of being out of the promise land. God was faithful to them regardless of the faithfulness of the people. God was always pursuing a loving relationship with the people he called his own. Leigh Ann tells her own personal testimony of God’s faithfulness when she was doubting, specifically when she and her husband had moved to Scotland to plant a church.
