We all want to win, but then IT shows up. FEAR! The ruler of most everyones life. Stop and think. Be honest with yourself. How many times did you have an opportunity (maybe life changing) fear directly steered you away from it. The great unknown. I have great advice to share.
10,000 hours. Is the academic, decided upon number it takes to master any endeavor. Is it absolutely true? NO! It could be 2000 hrs till you master the guitar, 8000 hrs till you master flying an airplane, or 5000 hrs to become a gourmet chef. There are to many examples of people who have mastered something quicker than the accepted guideline. Intensity, retention of knowledge, focus, inherent ability, etc....are different for everyone! You can skip the line so to speak, but start and do not stop!
Absolutes. Do not speak in absolutes. Never, can't, won't , etc. It lays limitations. ALWAY end these sentences with "yet". So you don't establish walls in your mind. Example: "I can't swim.....yet." Now its open to the possibility you will accomplish or be able to do whatever the limiting factor is at the moment. As well as with yourself, try to abolish using negative absolutes with other people or entities. Example: "He won't show on time." or "The news can't show anything positive. Even the weather sucks." Almost anything in our world has variables. Do not focus on the negative or forecast absolute negatives. About the only absolute negative I can say right now is, you will die. I will die. We know all living things have an expiration date. No proof of anything immortal yet!
