Kim sits down (again!) with author, speaker, recording artist, and TV host Tammy Trent to discuss her new book, Where Are You Now, God?, released worldwide on September 1, 2026. The new title follows her impactful books Learning to Breathe Again: Choosing Life and Finding Hope After a Shattering Loss and Beyond the Sorrow: There’s Hope in the Promises of God.

Tammy Trent has faithfully stewarded a worldwide ministry through music, books and speaking for more than 31 years, beginning with her first record deal in 1995. In addition to her work as an author, Tammy has recorded seven albums and continues creating new music today. Her voice became a staple on Christian radio with songs like “Your Love is 4 Always,” “Welcome Home,” “Run to the Cross,” and “My Irreplaceable.”

On September 11, 2001, her life changed forever when her husband of 11 years lost his life in a scuba diving accident during a mission trip to Jamaica. After a year of deep grief and healing, Tammy returned to the stage and spent six years as a featured speaker and performer in arenas filled with 15,000–20,000 women at Women of Faith conferences. She has shared the stage with Sheila Walsh, Lisa Harper, Ann Voskamp, Annie Downs, and Jennifer Rothschild, among others.

Her story of tragedy and restoration resonates across generations, but it is only part of the message she carries — one of hope, healing, purpose, and life in Jesus. Whether speaking, writing, or singing, Tammy’s ministry continues to strengthen faith, restore courage, and spark joy. With contagious humor, vibrant personality, and heartfelt sincerity, Tammy draws people in close. She often says, “One of my greatest privileges is speaking into the life of someone who feels hopeless and numb. I’ve been there too — and I’ve learned we can never interpret numbness as God’s absence.”
