VR: We're an environmental not-for-profit, we're focused on small scale but high impact environmental issues, trash cleanups on the land of the Ramapough Lenape, regenerative farming, trail building 

SA: Mevo executive director Violet Reed

VR: It started as a high school club in 2008 founded by Eric Fuchs-Stengel, he wanted to get his fellow peers out into the community active instead of sitting at home playing video games

SA: They ditched the PlayStation for shovels. On Camp Gone Mountain a two acre organic farm

VR: Sal turns up radishes, bok choy, yu choy, spring mix, lettuce, arugula, beets, carrots, fresh garlic, celery, parsley, dill, cilantro, tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants. We have potatoes in the ground and in the greenhouse we're already starting our winter squash 

SA: They sell to the community and local restaurants. They also donate. All of the work done by volunteers. Reed hopes this concept catches on 

VR: If given the opportunity to  go outside, get your hands dirty, volunteer it really will change your life. Anytown has blank spaces that can be farmed, every town has trash cleanup issues and pollution, every town has trails that need some love
