Former Congressman George Santos is due in court this afternoon.  By all indications, he's copping a plea to avoid standing trial. CBS News legal analyst Thane Rosenbaum joins Newsline with Brigitte Quinn.

Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine signed a state of emergency this morning in Stony Brook after strong overnight storms caused at least $25 million in widespread damage and flooded nearly 100 homes in communities along the North Shore. Eight of the top ten airports around the world saw huge increases in
passengers. Peter Greenberg answers if this increase is expected to continue this year.

This is a game changing development story that I have been following.

The city council overwhelmingly approved an ambitious Bronx rezoning plan around four new Metro North stations.

This paves the way for approximately 7,000 new homes, 1.2 million square feet of commercial space, and more than a million square feet for new community facilities, all generating a projected 10,000 permanent jobs.

This also includes significant funding for parks, school upgrades and street improvements.

I also see this further strengthening Metro Hutch center as an important hub that already includes a hospital, university, hotel, retail space and 1.4 million square feet of Class A office space on a 42 acre campus.

SA: Over time, as more and more people died from World Trade Center related illnesses, responder advocate John Feal felt compelled to do something

JF: I got one acre of land donated for a dollar and I built a million dollar park. That park is my baby.

SA: The 9/11 Responders Remembers Park in Wisconsin. Judi Simmons is the president. Her husband firefighter Marty Simmons was one of the first people to be honored in 2010. 

JS: His firehouse was missing, five firefighters and he was not leaving until they were recovered.

SA: There are roughly 2,000 names etched in three granite walls.

JS: When we first inscribed the first 20 names, it was hard to imagine that we would have all the panels filled, never mind to move to the front of the wall, and in 2024 need to raise money to add additional walls. 

SA: They're running out of space, but they are determined to honor everyone.

JS: There are so many good people in this world, as they can see by the amount of names on our walls that were committed to try and rescue those who were trapped and eventually those who cannot be rescued, to recover them to bring them home to their families
