After cruising in its opening dual against California Baptist, North Dakota State wrestling got a major test against third-ranked Missouri.

The Tigers rolled, winning all but one match against the Bison, claiming a 34-3 victory. NDSU's only victory on the night was a 6-4 win by Jared Franek in the 157 pound matchup.

The annual first game blowout of a lower-division opponent went about as expected for the North Dakota State men's basketball team. Concordia gave it the old college try, but ultimately size and quickness won out.

It's fitting that West Fargo played, and defeated, Century in the semifinals, giving the Packers a chance to get redemption for an early season loss.

The championship game against Sheyenne gives them that same chance and then some.

Thompson, N.D., senior outside hitter Lexi Zafke has important shoes to fill on and off the volleyball court. In her spare time, she volunteers at the fire department.

"Back in like April of 2018, me and my best friend decided to also be on the fire department," said Zafke. "My dad has been a firefighter for a long time on the volunteer fire department."

The Fargodome is becoming a hub for high school football, starting on Thursday with Minnesota section championships beginning.
