We may praise God in many different ways during this New Testament age, some different than done in earlier times but it still is a sacrifice of praise. Our whole outlook gets much better when we give God the glory, and start praising Him, which gets us away from self-centeredness, causing a whole new life glorifying God and not our circumstances when praise is not tied to them or emotions.
