In the month of October, we are transitioning from summer to fall and then eventually to winter. It's time to make a reappraising of your (our) assets to make sure that you/we are ready for the winter. Our cars have to be winterized; our homes also have to be winterized. We have to pull out the winter coats and boots to make sure that the moths have not eaten up our coats. So, there is a reappraisal of the things in our homes and in our bodies to survive the winter. For our bodies making sure that we have the right vitamins and vaccinations to guard ourselves against the coldness of the winter. For example, a flu or a Pneumonia vaccination or stocking up on plenty of vitamin C.  

Therefore, on this morning we have a word that will captivate your mind. This word will illuminate your heart to bring you to a greater understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ. We will take you on a journey to great peace, to greater hope and closer to Jesus as we prepare for the upcoming winter season. We are going to explore what it means to transition and prepare for winter. Sit back, take notes, let's go!

We are troubled on every side and even in the midst of the trouble, we see that there are wars and rumors of wars going on - Matthew 24: 6.

Life seem to be getting harder to live! We are challenged on every side with many threats. Some of those threats are the lose of Health Insurance, Snap benefits and higher Taxes. But we have a advocate with Father, who sent His Son, Jesus! Therefore, because Jesus lives, we have Life!

Praise the Lord, God’s sheep (His People)  are protected from the thief by their Shepherd. Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” (John 10:11).

Who is the Enemy?

We are in a battle, and it isn't against flesh and blood. As Christians, we have an enemy, and that enemy is Satan. But how can we experience victory if we don't know who we are facing? You can't fight something you don't understand.

Misconceptions and trivialization of Satan in popular culture have led to a lack of comprehensive knowledge about this influential being. Satan is not a symbolic figure or imaginary force, but a real, personal, and influential entity. Rejecting his existence contradicts the teachings of the Bible.

Colossians 1:16-17 King James Version 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Our God Reigns is our declaration of God's sovereignty, power, and authority over all things. 

Isaiah 52:7, which says: "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, 'Your God reigns! 

God is in control and will work it out for us.
