  • Episode 17 - Brian Payne

This week's guest is Brian Payne. Brian's Phish journey started in high school when his older brother snagged a copy of "Story of The Ghost". Like a lot of kids that were first exposed to Phish during the second hiatus, B Payne had to wait until '09 to experience live Phish. His first show was at Alpine Valley in '09...and after that moment he was in for life.

Brian talked about the importance of meeting new people and expanding friend groups through seeing Phish. He also shared some fun stories from the road.

  • Episode 14 - Jefe Harte

This week's guest is Jefe Harte. Jefe is an avid cyclist, rock climber, Phish lover, and creator of the Instagram page @you_enjoy_my_data.

Jefe walks us through how he discovered phish and his first show experience at CRYSTAL BALLROOM, HOTEL ST. MICHAEL on 10/24/91.

Jefe's journey with the band is interesting. Unlike some phans that jump in on day one and follow the band relentlessly, Jefe took his time and checked in with the band every few years during the 1.0 era, and eventually had his next "aha!" moment at Dick's in 2017 and hasn't looked back since.

  • Episode 11 - Joseph Rosenberg

This week's guest is Joseph Rosenberg! Joseph was first exposed to Phish in the summer of '94 when he went on a walk with his dad after dinner to check out Phish at The Ballpark in Old Orchard Beach, ME. Since they just listened to the show from outside the venue, Joseph doesn't credit this as his first Phish show. His first official Phish show came a few years later on 12/12/97 in Albany, NY.

In addition to hearing some fun stories from Joseph's Phish shows over the years we also learn why his favorite jam is the Roses Are Free from Island Tour, and why he's okay with never hearing 46 Days, Sugar Shack, or Yarmouth Road again. Enjoy!

  • Episode 8 - Heath Kearns

This week's guest is Heath Kearns! Thanks to a heady dorm-mate in college, Heath was exposed to a ton of Phish and the rest is history. It didn't take long for him to seek out the true live Phish experience and even though he was 'on call' with work Heath attended his first show at The Gorge in '03 and he never looked back!

Heath also shared a cool Phish story that took place in 2009. Carrie Brownstein did an "experiment" to see why Phish fans are so passionate. That led to Heath and a handful of other Phish fans being lucky enough to join Carrie at a pub in Portland to plead their case on why Phish is worth the hype. Did they convince her? Who knows! (links below)

If you enjoy the podcast, it would mean the world to me if you subscribed to the channel and shared it with your other Phish friends.

  • Episode 7 - Pete Macone

This week's guest is Pete Macone, or as I like to call him "Coventry Pete" Why Coventry Pete? Well, that's how he was introduced to me by my friend Kyle. If you haven't listened to episode 2 where Kyle tells the story of how he and Pete met at Coventry, I would do that before listening to this episode just to give some context.

In this episode, Pete tells us about how he first discovered Phish in the back of his parent's car with a copy of slip stitch pass, that would ultimately lead to his first show at IT in '03. We also talked about the Boise '99 show being one of his "go-to" shows at the moment.
