The newest episode of We Are Not Amused is now live! Join Tressa and Taylor as they once again discuss “Much Ado About Nothing,” but this time a film adaptation and a stage adaptation. Enjoy as we compare and contrast these two different mediums of the same text, discuss the multiple future Harry Potter characters, spend a fair amount of time relaying the infamous paint scene, and, oddly, talk about “Beetlejuice” for a bit too long. Also, if you hear water running in the background, apologies for that, but the cats must have water.
On this week's episode of We Are Not Amused, we're discussing the classic Shakespeare play "Much Ado About Nothing"! Join us as we struggle to remember character names, keep track of who is and isn't "in" on all the various schemes, and figure out how Dogberry is the "comic relief" in what is supposedly already a "comedy." P.S. Please excuse our lack of an intro for this episode—we're gonna go ahead and blame it on everyone's favorite villian "Technical Difficulties."
Today on We Are Not Amused, Tressa and Taylor discuss two Queens, one Princess, and a Countess, all from Scotland. Join us as we review these royal ladies’ history, attempt to keep track of all the people (why do they all have the same name?!), and spend way too much time figuring out the order these women were born.
On this week's episode of We Are Not Amused, we're reviewing the 1934 film "The Man Who Knew Too Much" (which, according to Hitchcock, is his non-definitive version). Join us as we (try to) put our film school education to use to break down some neat editing sequences, discuss the lack of film score that seems to be a thing in these older films, and try to figure out which man it was who in fact knew too much.
In today's episode of We Are Not Amused, Tressa and Taylor talk about their visit to Emilie's French Tea. Join us as we discuss all the different teas tasted, the amazing pastries, and our thoughts on everything from the owners to the atmosphere of this hole in the wall tea room.
Welcome to part 2 of our discussion on season 13 of The Great British Baking Show! Join us as we drool over some incredible creations, try not to compare this season with past seasons, and wonder who the heck decided Halloween Week was a good idea.
The newest episode of We Are Not Amused is now live! On this week’s episode, Tressa and Taylor discuss the first 5 episodes of the newest season of “The Great British Baking Show.” Join us as we talk about the length of Taylor’s notes for too long, dive into all the contestants, compare the bakes that stood out to us the most, and have one too many giggle fits.
Happy 2023 everyone! We're back with a new episode about "The Ghosts" (slash "The Amazing Mr. Blunden"), a popular British children's novel from the 1960s. (We decided adult books were too hard after Middlemarch.) Grab your tea and join us as we relate this book to some of our favorite fandoms, muse over what squashy green cake might be, and try to decide who the heck is the older sibling.

The end is here! Well, at least the end of Middlemarch. In today’s episode Tressa and Taylor discuss the last two episodes of the BBC “Middlemarch” series. Join us as we wrap up all the characters' stories, discuss the big plot points that were left out, and decide how we felt about the series as a whole. This will also be the last episode of We Are Not Amused until February. We hope everyone has the happiest of holidays and we will see you all in the new year!
