Today, I brought Ashley Jameson from Pure Desire Ministries to talk about the lack of addressing sexual brokenness in the church, what to do about it, and the healing we can get from processing our unprocessed trauma from our past. Pure Desire Ministries is a biblically-based and clinically-informed ministry committed to true revival in the church through the healing of the present-day epidemic of sexual brokenness. Pure Desire Ministries began in the local church for the local church. The founders, Dr. Ted and Diane Roberts, recognized the pervasiveness of sexual struggle in the church. The evasive answers of the past only gave men and women a message of “try harder, pray more, memorize more scripture” which kept them isolated in their shame and struggle.

Over the course of two decades, they developed a strategy that is biblically based, clinically informed, and highly successful in creating lasting change. For more than 30 years, Pure Desire has helped hundreds of thousands of men and women around the world transform their lives—finding freedom from sexual brokenness, healing from betrayal trauma, and living the life God intended for them through the pursuit of health and wholeness.
