This musical is about the story that intertwines two Greek myths, Orpheus & Eurydice and Hades & Persephone, set in a gritty, Depression-era, jazz-infused world. Eurydice, struggling to survive, is lured to Hadestown, an industrial underworld ruled by Hades. Orpheus, a hopeful musician, travels to rescue her using the power of his song. Meanwhile, the gods’ troubled relationship, Persephone’s yearning for the upper world and Hades’ increasing control, creates imbalance above and below.

The show follows Orpheus’ quest, Eurydice’s choice, and the tension between love, doubt, and destiny, all narrated by Hermes and accompanied by the Fates, blending poetry, folk, jazz, and blues into a modern myth about hope in the face of hardship.

In this Pre-Thanksgiving episode we are joined by our usual participants. We also have two bonus segments this week: 6th grader Grace Wheatley interviews transportation supervisor Dave Wagner to learn more about he transportation department. Dave also joins us in the next segment along with school bus driver, Bob Pfohler, to discuss the importance of safety practices for drivers in proximity of a school bus.

In our October episode we hear from our usual contributors and include a new twist on our Building Spotlight section by featuring an interview with Facility Director Matt Lefevre conducted by 6th grader Nolan Haudberg.
