Here's a throwback to the grand old year of 2012...

People love looking back at the start of a new year, either to romance the old year or to just say goodbye to a painful time... but the new year is always full of people looking forward to a happier, more prosperous time.

It can certainly be seen in 2012's music: old school flavors revisited, twisted and chopped. people looking to a 'happier,' better time.

That's just what 'WE ARE...' up to here; only, the better, happier time is now. get ready for a ride everyone, because this time

A little reposting for those that missed it

There's nothing like being strapped to a small seat for six hours to get the creative juices flowing...

This mix is deep, brooding, and soulful; and it grows into chugging tech-house, takes you to church (it is one of my mixes after all); and, finally, peaks with some heavy techno. This mix is definitely enough to fill your deepest, darkest vodka and sweat-soaked dancefloor dreams.

There's nothing like being locked into a steel tube being hurtled through the air at 500mph by controlled explosions to get your creative juices flowing.

This episode is a grinder.

A grower.

A builder.

She starts as deep and sexy as one could imagine with a classic track remixed by an old friend, Mr. Luther Sole Essential of South Africa; and she grows and changes through some dirtysexy house slathered with soul through some chunky-funky to really get your feet moving. There's no filler here; and, definitely no trending top 40. There are just some of my recent favorites blended with some iconic house tunes of the early 2000's. I hope you enjoy; because this time:

Somewhere between bronchitis, bleary eyes, and a roller coaster plane ride, a little soul clarity came out to play...

This mix grows form soul to disco to some downright classically flavored house. It is fit for a Florida November poolside, or the car, or the floor. Nothing pretentious. Nothing trendy. Definitely nothing hip. ...Just good, soulful, funky house. I hope you enjoy.
