THE WHAT: As you know I am a champion of all women and women like Rachel are the epitome of female empowerment, so it’s safe to say we had a blast. Rachel speaks openly and honestly about her experience as not only a curve model but also as a ‘silver haired’ model. She also tells all about her desire to make an impact above getting paid and how she's shared many a shoot with a celeb or two, all with similar missions. Rachel is all about body confidence and spends a lot of her time behind the camera in swimsuits and lingerie, a thought she may not have considered in her younger years. Her passion shines through as she explains how her mission is to show other women, particularly those in midlife that they are far from invisible. 

THE WHY: Rachel has broken so many barriers and worked with huge influencers in the modelling world, as well as becoming one herself. She is not shy on speaking up for women’s voices, especially in an industry so dominated by younger women. She believes that all women need to be seen and represented and discusses with me openly about how she is more confident now at 52 than she was in her 20’s and 30’s. Rachel has carved a new life for herself and I hope that in listening to this episode you are inspired by the possible, no matter what age.

THE WHAT: This podcast was such an interesting one for me as I really had to open my mind to how much more I could be doing as a white woman in business. We learn in this episode how it’s not just enough to say you're inclusive but the importance of showing it too as Samantha talks about what it’s really like in this online world as she makes waves to educate more people on how to make their brands more diverse and inclusive. 

THE WHY: Samantha has the most amazing quote that she lives by when she talks about diversity and inclusion: “Diversity and inclusion starts with holding a mirror up to yourself and celebrating your own uniqueness” and I think it’s time we all hold a mirror up to ourselves as we learn more from Samantha, a diversity and inclusion business coach and a career and business coach for underestimated women and allies. We all need to be doing more and Samantha tells us some of the ways we can start because this isn’t just something to be considering in a one off moment, when everyone is talking about it. It needs to be discussed daily and implemented continuously. Let’s start to make this online world a more inclusive place, one brand at a time.

Safe isn't an option anymore. Something I find myself saying so much recently. First a rebrand or should I say an ownership of me and then a realisation that this podcast needs to stop playing safe. Because I have to be honest, I am BORED! Bored of the same old stuff all over the internet. And if I want to change it, I have to start leading by example.

So in this episode is going to tackle some thought processes I've been having, as well as tackling what it really is to be a personal brand because it ain't just about that online presence we all focus on. 

Let me take you on the journey from lost to clarity and a path that finally feels focussed. Although scares the crap out of me a little.
