The Australian Federal Police counter-terrorism units will join the Victoria Police to discuss the arson attack on the Adass Israel synagogue that occurred in Melbourne last week.

Jillian Segal AO, Australia’s Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism, told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, 'the more important issue we should focus on as a nation is what the government and the community is going to do about this rising anti-Semitism or this anti-Semitism that's effectively been normalised.'

'It's no longer just rising, it's with us.

We need to think of it almost like COVID. We need to fight it as a country,' she said.

'Everyone must stand up against anti-Semitism. Don't be a bystander, be an upstander and call it out,' Segal continued.
