I’m sure you’ve figured it out… everything in us and around us is constantly shifting and changing. It can feel anywhere from mildly unsettling, sometimes exciting and very often just outright terrifying. 

To crave stability and security is a very normal human response, so we may often find ourselves resisting the natural and inevitable shifts.  

If we’re not aware of our responses, we’re often pouring energy into trying to keep things the same comfortable way they’ve always been. 

But in doing so we miss out on the gold, the growth and liberation we’ll see in our lives when we move through the discomfort, embrace the shifts, and use them to propel us forward.  

Given this podcast is all about navigating our own evolution, in this episode we delve into what we mean when we talk about the ‘conscious evolution’, why do we even care about evolving and how does it truly empower and liberate our lives.   

We have a choice to spend our entire lives pouring our energy into resistance, or we can embrace the beauty of each transition - for in every ending lies the potential for a new beginning.  

Our ability to navigate change with presence and self awareness will enable our evolution - it’s a super power because if we can tune in to what we are learning and what’s going on internally rather than being victims to circumstances, herein lies the secret sauce to make the shifts we want to see in our lives.  

We’ve come to learn that leaning into the conscious evolution is an act of deep self love that offers growth and freedom - and it’s a truly refreshing way to live.

How comfortable are you with feeling proud of yourself?  

Does it feel like you really should be humble and not enjoy the good feeling it can bring because we’ve somehow picked up that it’s ‘bad’ to feel or be proud.  

Or if someone else is shining bright in whatever way is authentic to them, does it leave you with a feeling that they should just tone it down a bit?  

Let’s be honest - we’ve probably all experienced these feelings at some point.  

Rather than the ‘shrinking back’ feeling of shame, or judgement of ourselves or others, we’ve done some deeper investigation and have come around to a new way of thinking about it.  

We think that feeling proud of ourselves should be a regular part of our conscious evolution process and something that can  bring much pleasure and goodness and really elevate our lives.

Many of us have spent our lives using 'good' as our internal compass and trying so desperately to be good. 

Good girls, good women, good humans, good students, good employees, good bosses, good partners, good friends, good mothers, good sisters, good entrepreneurs, good stewards of our earth, good enough…  and quite frankly it’s all a bit exhausting. 

Today we walk through a beautiful poem that feels like indulging in a warm soothing bath and melts the tension away. 

Sometimes art has a divine way of helping us access parts of ourselves that we’ve shut away or have lost connection with.  

For us, the poem Wild Geese by Mary Oliver cracked us open and has helped us on our journey to heal from the insatiable demands of codependency, shame, ‘good girl’ syndrome and the sense of not-enough-ness.  

We want you to know to your very core - you do not have to be good.
