We Fix Games

There are many creepy games to play, and Children of Silentown is our return to the short horror games that we love so much. This one did not adhere to any of our rules, so sit back and listen as we dig in and discuss what worked, what didn't, and how to fix it.

Children of Silentown is a dark adventure game that tells the story of Lucy, a girl growing up in a village deep in a forest inhabited by monsters. People disappearing is nothing uncommon here, but this time, Lucy is old enough to investigate on her own. Or so she thinks.

It’s time for Tomb Raider: a story about survival, transformation, and becoming Lara Croft. We talk through the game’s intense opening, Lara’s evolution from terrified survivor to determined adventurer, and how Tomb Raider uses its environments, combat, and pacing to tell a story about endurance under pressure. From quiet exploration to chaotic firefights, we unpack what works, what feels rough, and how the game balances vulnerability with action.

Please check the trigger warnings at the end of this description; stay safe, fam.
