Their job is no easy task, and as many say, they are home engineers, a thankless job in a way. So, to make them feel extra special, we make plans and take them out for lunch or dinner. As kids, we make them an excellent breakfast and take them shopping.

On average, 30 Black Americans get killed by guns, and 110 experience non-fatal injuries each day. Statistics show that a Black person is shot and killed every other day by police. These trends heighten in larger cities, where Black Americans make up 68% of slain victims. Gun violence in different groups in distinct social networks and neighborhood sub-sections.

Imecca and her family are doing their part to heal our community with a non-profit. The A.L.R. Safe Haven Legacy, Inc, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has been established to help guide our youth, ages 10-18, on a different path, offering them another way of life. We're providing a different environment to reach that desired change. The at-risk youth will be introduced to a new way of doing things, a new lifestyle, and an introduction to The Wylderness! They'll be taught independent learning skills, land survival skills, anger management, art & equine therapy.

Tarik Chatman, the man behind the book, was raised in the city of Detroit. Tarik was given an up-close look into life's sometimes chaotic and harsh realities. He has attained various awards and accolades in multiple genres of expression. However, none of them are important, in his opinion, after finding himself entangled in some of those very similar realities. So he began to push his pen from behind the locked cell block door, 821 miles away from home. After supplying more relatable reading material to his fellow inmate population in middle Georgia, he decided to take things a step further upon his release. The book in your possession now is the offspring of discipline and determination, concluding that his words could bring value and inspiration. He recognized a very detailed style of writing mingled with a sometimes severe yet humorous flow of entertaining concepts.
