We Got Your 6@6 Episode 128: A Bourbon and I’m Ready this week!   WE have Jonathon Crochet of Bourbon Battle Buddies!  WE have been waiting for the opportunity to feature Jonathon - as he has been a faithful follower for quite some time now, and we have had a few conversations about collaborating to fulfill our missions.  It seems we have many common connections, and we think alike in a lot of ways.  Listen up to hear the passion to help others by being present and being understanding. 

This week brought music from a connection again from Nashville. The WeP3 Nashville Takeover continues with Tammy Jo Dabbs... She is a veteran and is driven to put out a quality message through her music with a mountain of integrity. Tammy leads by example and has made some changes recently to help put herself in a good position to live her music.  We are so excited to have her on the show to share her music, and talk about what is new in her world.  Tammy Jo brings an energy in her music that will have you tapping your toes, and dancing in your chair. We Got Your 6@6 Episode 127: WE have some friends that we met down in Nashville this last time! Jacob Hale, our friend from the Timothy Newton Band, brought some friends on the show with him, and it was a very endearing conversation. Tammy Folvarcik and her daughter, LaShaya, came to share how they lost Jer Bear (husband and father) to the demons that are out there trying to control the minds of our First Responders who have faced trauma and lost the match. These are some tough conversations, but they are conversations that need to be had, even though “nothing comes easy”. It is a consensus that the only way we can keep this from happening is to put it on the table and try hard to fix it.

This week brought music from another connection in Nashville. JayP joined us at The Bold Patriot and impressed us all. He has a refined voice and his songs are very touching. JayP is also a veteran, and he is here to share the stories of his life as well. JayP learned early in life that “nothing comes easy”, and he is willing to work for everything he can. His music is amazing, and his drive and desire will keep pushing him forward.

We Got Your 6@6 Episode 126:  WE have some new blood in our lineup today!  WE will start out with Mr. James Stokes, who is more well-known to you as none other than Jason Vorhees from our favorite scary movie:  Friday the 13th. James has some experience with people and hard work, having been a Marine, firefighter, EMT and a paramedic, and then transitioning to an actor.  If that is not enough, his real passion lies with interacting with youth and talking to them about antibullying and anti-suicide messages. He works through the million other options in life, starting with Choices, Changes and Chance, and the interacting factors brought on by each step. WE are hoping to have much more conversation with James in the near future. 

Our musician this week actually was the catalyst for having James join us!  Dawn Rix has been very busy traveling, attending events and accepting awards. This is the result, of course, of her Choices, Changes and Chance on her life path. Dawn is a strong and hard-working person who has earned every one of her awards.  With a passion for helping others, she uses her music and her person skills to spread positivity in all her travels and relationships.

We Got Your 6@6 Episode 125:  WE have some new blood in our lineup today!  WE will start out with Brian “Big Country” Conwell and his story of Battling Adversity, and how he uses his health, his ambition, and his desire to be a better person to push people to be their best person.

Brian has been through the fire with losing a leg, and while he thought he might just be done with it all, he decided he would give it another chance. He has a big message and he wants to share his passion for his “new” life.

Our musician this week comes to us from the Nashville area again. It has been a pleasant time getting to know Kevin Palmer and hearing how he has found how music can be a gentle push into healing if we let it. It has been a story of personal healing and a road to understanding and helping his son.  Battling Adversity has become a healthy challenge for Kevin and he has leaned on music and the memory of his father to push him forward with that healing.

Chad Hutto is here as our guest and WE have music shared by Joey James.  Chad has been spending time with our good friends in Texas, The Texas Strong and the Crutzingers. He performed at a benefit to help raise funds to keep that amazing nonprofit in providing homes for homeless vets.  WE are excited to have him on the show. Chad’s stand up humor is inspired by his military background and his desire to work at that which he enjoys.

We Got Your 6@6 Episode 120:  Tonight’s show is going to be a blast!  We have a superstar guest tonight with Gina Powers, and we will have some stop-in visitors throughout the show.  Dan brought Gina to us through his connections, and Gina is a gem. After a start in the Coast Guard, Gina had a career as a first responder, a music teacher, and has now followed her heart with music.  I guess you could say she wanted to Come and Sit Down back with family and friends.  You will meet her here tonight, and you will see much more of her in the future with us.

Gina shares three songs with us tonight:   “Come and Sit Down” is the first gift of a song she shares.  “Going Home” is the next, and it touches the soul.  The finale, “Mississippi Burning” will have you dancing in your seat!

We Got Your 6@6 Episode 118:  This episode will not disappoint.  We have special guest Jon Engfer from Warrior’s Path.  WE met Jon at an event earlier this fall, and it was meant to be a familial relationship.  WE love Jon’s energy and his enthusiasm for his mission. As with other guests, WE have very many connections and overlaps in our missions. Jon and Tom and the whole group from Every Third Saturday and Warrior’s Path will be our Minnesota connection with helping and supporting those who have served, and they will help continue the message of using music as a healing piece for our service people.

We are also graced with music from some of our favorites…tonight we had the pleasure of having Mr. Glen Cain stop by to hang out. Glen is a musician from the Michigan area, and who is very familiar with the way Nashville works.  Give me that Old Time Country with Glen Cain”.  You will be dancing in your seat and saying, He and his band have a very country sound, and we mean old country - like your grandpa used to listen to! This man has played with the likes of Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Conway Twitty.  Give a listen to his three songs on the show tonight, and you will love it!
