We Have Seen the True Light

The word "power" or "miracle" is used so often in our vocabulary, power bars, power suit, miracle whip... and this can really bring down the word "power" especially when knowing Who THE Power is in all of Creation.

In the Gospel Passage today, we hear how Christ went to the "other side" and there, met and healed a man that was possessed by demons. 
Were the people in that region happy to have Christ with them? 
Did they ask Him to perform another miracle? 
Actually, they asked our Lord to leave!

In the Gospel Passage today we hear Christ telling His disciples about a Sower and the various places that the seeds were placed.  Our souls are like the seeds and the question is... are we growing in Christ EVERY day???

If you have younger siblings or cousins, you know that you shared your stuff with them, be it toys or other items, but are we REALLY sharing?

Mercy is a word that is sung, prayed and used in many of the Divine Services of the Church.  Yet it means nothing if we do not practice it.

In the Gospel Passage today we hear our Lord mention about loving our enemies and "be merciful".  What days this mean?  How can we do this?

In the Gospel Passage today we hear our Lord teaching about love.  Of course we are to love those who love us, that should be easy, but did you know that we are supposed to love those who choose not to love us back?

We here in the Gospel Passage today how the fishermen toiled all night (which is the proper timeframe to catch fish) and caught nothing.  Our Lord directed Peter to go out to the deep water and boom... he caught so much that they needed a second boat!
