In the Gospel Passage today we hear about the funeral procession of a young man  that  was the only son of a widow.  Our Lord had compassion when He saw the procession, told the widow who had lost her son, "Do not cry" and there raised the young man who had fallen asleep.  For us today there are 3 things for us to remember from this wonderful miracle. On this the 2nd Sunday of Luke the words of our Lord speak loudly to all.  Selfishness and looking out for oneself has never been the teaching of the Church.  We hear that we are to love our enemies and to be merciful.  How can this be done???
