Week 2 is where the overreactions either cash in or collapse. Phillip and Ken break down the biggest fantasy and betting takeaways from a wild opening week, then turn to the matchups that can reshape the entire boardβfrom Buffalo's first game in the new stadium to whether the Bears' explosive new offense is actually sustainable. The conversation starts with the teams that changed the most after Week 1. The Giants' defense looks fast, physical, and mean. The Rams' early stumble gets reexamined through the lens of overseas travel and Kyle Shanahan's game planning. The Saints' comeback potential, the Lions' defensive red flags, the Cowboys' collapse, and the Browns' disaster all get put under the microscope. You'll also hear sharp, opinionated takes on the teams that matter most for fantasy and spreads this week:
Phillip and Ken don't just hand you picksβthey explain what the film, the usage, the coaching, and the game environment are actually telling you. They debate whether the early heat on teams like the Rams, Lions, Chargers, and Colts is real, and whether bounce-back spots for squads like the Vikings, Broncos, Eagles, and Seahawks are being mispriced. This one is perfect if you want smarter fantasy edges, stronger betting logic, and a clearer read on which Week 1 results actually mean something. If you only listen to one Week 2 preview, make it this one.
Get ready for Week 1 of the NFL season with game predictions, fantasy football draft strategies, team performance analysis, player updates, and betting insights.

It's the last week before real football, so we're throwing out every bold prediction we can defend for roughly nine seconds. Phillip has Jayden Daniels winning MVP, Ken went with the most reasonable pick anyone has ever made, and Connor built an entire MVP case out of a math problem instead of a quarterback.
Along the way: the Seahawks miss the playoffs, the Cardinals somehow win five or six games, two NFC South teams sneak in, the Lions score a ton and still watch January from home, and the Browns start enough quarterbacks to fill a depth chart twice. Also Ken continues to refuse to prescribe Connor anything, no matter how many times he says the word peptides.

Connor is finally back, which means Phillip and Ken get to outsource every rookie take they don't have. We go through the 2026 rookie class, dynasty buy-lows, which coaches are already cooked, and the offenses that will pile up fantasy points purely because their defense can't stop anybody.
Also: Ken casually mentions he brought someone back from cardiac arrest in a parking lot, Connor explains why the 49ers' electrical substation is quietly the most important fantasy variable of the season, and we close with a heated debate about whether buying a car from Carvana is a crime.

Can a simple scoring model make fantasy football drafting easier?
In this episode, Phillip and Ken break down the βShootout Index,β a Claude AI-built ranking system that combines projected game totals, expected scoring, defensive performance, and win totals to identify the NFL offenses most likely to produce fantasy points.
The discussion covers which teams and players are worth targeting, where the model may be wrong, and which offenses could deliver the most value on draft day. They debate the fantasy outlooks for the Rams, Packers, Chargers, Bills, 49ers, Commanders, Saints, Raiders, Bengals, Cowboys, Ravens, Lions, Colts, Buccaneers, Jaguars, Chiefs, Patriots, Eagles, Panthers, Cardinals, and more.
