After meeting up in Mexico, the guys decided that a podcast could wait til this week, so here it is. They start out with a bunch of basketball news, including a trade that shocked NBA Twitter. There is some NFL injury news, the Deshaun suspension was announced, and Oscar has a note about mental health after the passing of a former Texans executive. Then, conversation moves to the final two weeks of preseason football, especially relating to how our two sorry teams looked (actually okay!). First team reps were limited for the Jags and Texans in week 1 of the preseason (something that we both were grateful for- don't play your studs when it doesn't matter!), but we discuss some players who caught our attention. The guys are back in business with a month until the first regular season game! On today's episode, we talked about the MLB trade deadline, some NBA stuff, and a quick preview into Texas A&M football. Then, the NFL levied a suspension on Deshaun Watson and a heavy punishment on the Dolphins, and we react to both. Finally, we did a team draft (based on the one Mina Kimes does on her show every year), and Oscar is back with vengeance after Sam killed him in the exercise last year.

The Boys are Back in Town after a needed break from football content. We give our updated thoughts (and draft grades) on the Texans' and Jaguars' drafts, and address any big offseason storylines for the teams and the NFL as a whole. Also, congratulations are in order for the major sports title winners that we've missed in two months off, there is plenty of NBA news to discuss (we focus mainly on the Spurs and Mavs), and we bring back Fantasy Corner. After a one week hiatus, the guys are back to talk about our teams' ongoing coaching searches. Both mention that there's a lot less stress when the Texans and Jags aren't playing, and how it's nice to just enjoy playoff football. Speaking of the playoffs, the guys cover the divisional round matchups, during which Sam says if it's not Titans-Bills and Rams-49ers in the conference championships, he's quitting the pod and football forever. Guess we'll see what happens this weekend!
