We Love to Watch

MIGNOLA & DEL TORO GO TO HOLLYWOOD summer takes us to dark, dark places with Neil Marshall's HELLBOY soft-reboot staring David Harbour.

Next week, we end the summer on a more positive note - the Hellboy comics wrap-up

While the first Hellboy movie is great, the sequel is leaps and bounds ahead of it, and may just be the best superhero movie of 2008.

We brought back Ryan Boland to chat about what makes this golden army so gosh darn special.

For our summer of Mignola & Del Toro go to Hollywood, we wanted to cover some of the animated side stories that were produced in the 2000s that sprang from the minds of Mignola or carried on the legacy of Blade as a character.

We'll be covering:

Hellboy: Sword of Storms

Hellboy: Blood & Iron

Hellboy: Iron Shoes

Blade (Animated Series)

The Amazing Screw-On Head (Pilot for animated TV series)

Blade Boys Month hits our first, but unfortunately, not our last, low point with 2004's Blade: Trinity.

You may have heard one of the hosts say he remembers this being good, but he was wrong! Dead wrong! This movie is bad! David Goyer is bad! We're bad for thinking this might be fine!

Go straight to Hell, boy!

MIGNOLA AND DEL TORO GO TO HOLLYWOOD is in full swing with the big red guy we all love.

We're joined by Ryan (live in studio - thanks Moderna!) another fan of the series as we discuss Guillermo Del Toro's HELLBOY.

Blade Boys month reaches the best Blade movie of all time, Blade II.

We're joined by guest and fellow Blade II superfan, Zak Santucci, who's life was changed irrevocably by seeing this movie in theaters (for good? tune in to find out!)

Join us next week as we finally get to the "Boy" in "Blade Boys," as we cover 2004's Hellboy!

Our Blade Boys double month takes on the first of the boys, in 1998's Blade.

Did you know that basically nothing from this movie was present in the comic book version of the character? We didn't! But we did our famous "research" and have newfound appreciation for just how wonderful and influential Stephen Norrington's movie was and is!

It's time for another super-sized summer theme, and we're doing our most ambitious effort yet with Blade Boys: Del Toro and Mignola's Super Adventures in Hollywood!

We're covering the Blade and Hellboy movies through the lens of Mike Mignola and Guillermo Del Toro's creating comic movies in a Hollywood system.

We're starting with an esxtended intro to their Hollywood work with a double feature: Del Toro's first American movie, Mimic, and the movie that Mignola created concept art for, Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

I think I'll go for a walk outside now, the summer sun's callin' my name, to listen to our episode on the BRADY BUNCH reboots/parodies of the 1990s. Please, we beg you, enjoy.

Our Summer Rerun month, and maybe our entire podcast, reaches its nadir with 1993's The Beverly Hillbillies.

Only adding to our misery, our guest is Marcus Jones, who prefers to go by his stage name, dumb dumb poopy head. I would skip this one.
