The Sarno House

We open up about Everett's accident

Listen Later

Everett was around three months old, it was a normal morning and I remember laying in our king-sized bed and watching Sean walk out of our bedroom, I can see it so vividly, Sean holding the baby and Declan was walking down the stairs in front. A moment later there was this thud sound and thought maybe Deklan was being clumsy on the stairs. Then I heard Sean say Everett's name in a way that I never want to hear again. I jumped up, Sean handed me Everett and said, I just fell. I just fell. I remember holding him in my arms. As I began to rub my hand along the side of his head, I felt it. There was major swelling on his skull. I flipped him over and he wasn't crying. That was probably the scariest moment to be holding your baby after an injury and him not crying.
