This season was curated with the idea to save the 80s for Kat. Less cocaine filmmaking, more sentimentality. For this episode, Kat & Marc review “Steel Magnolias” and “Terms of Endearment.”

But, before they hop in the DeLorean and gun it to 88, they catch up on current events: ‘Don’t Worry Darling” drama with Shia LaBeouf, Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde; possibly being over A24; and Leonardo DiCaprio’s 25 age limit.

For the latest installment of Deleted Scenes, Kat & Marc talk queer sex in film, leaving TV shows before they end (of course, the MCU is brought up), and questioned why we, as a society, hated Megan Fox?

In the search to find animated films that Marc likes, the dynamic duo reviews “The Mitchells vs. The Machines” and Academy Award winner “Encanto.” They gang talks about father/daughter relationships, normalizing queerness and enduring Lin-Manuel Miranda. This episode is when the blind is able to see. Kat & Marc dive into “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” and the biggest pivot in WSDTAS history. The fellowship talks tenderness, favorite moments and the reading skills of Michael Bay.

In a conversation that started about “The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers” and Marc’s reservations with fantasy films, it evolved to Kat questioning the influence of “Game of Thrones” and how the show has warped the perception of the fantasy genre.
