On today’s episode, Kat & Marc discuss “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” and “Gone Girl”. Before heading into Valentine’s Day, Kat & Marc pick best first date movies. Marc kicks things off with “Before Sunrise” and Kat takes it home with “The Hunger”. The duo discusses a radiant Julie Delpy performance, lesbian vampires, and the impressive start to Tony Scott’s career. Also, they talk the new release “Heart Eyes” and “Scream 7” news. Joined by Errick Greenlee aka Handsome Bane, Kat & Marc review Black ‘80s classics “Hollywood Shuffle” and “School Daze”. For the first time in show history, all three people featured on the show disagree about a single movie! The gang gives flowers to Robert Townsend, the strong legacy he & Spike Lee established for Black Hollywood, and question if “School Daze” should have been a full blown musical.

Recorded on the day America honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr (and, I assure you, nothing else), Kat & Marc review Wes Anderson’s “The Royal Tenenbaums” and “Fantastic Mr. Fox”. To kick things off, they discuss Anderson’s career and wonder why the culture has cooled on his newer projects. Before diving into the films, they remember David Lynch. 2025 has been rough already but our first episode of the year gives a little bit of laughs and some hope. Kat & Marc review Stephen King adaption’s “Christine” and “The Shawshank Redemption” through its subversive themes and queer subtexts. Also, the gang discusses “The Brutalist” and its award chances. RIP David Lynch.

Kat & Marc dive into the two Christmas films that are on everyone’s minds this time of year: “Philadelphia” & “Forrest Gump”. The holly jolly duo react to the lack of Academy recognition for “Philadelphia” and are a bit split on Denzel’s performance. Also, Kat goes on Homer’s (Simpson) Odyssey with “Forrest Gump”. Beyond the comedy, the gang gets to the heart of the film’s problem and Robert Zemeckis’ limitations as a director.
