We recently had a conversation with Gosia about spotting broken systems in our capitalist world. It's important to be aware of these broken systems because they can waste time and money without yielding any results.

One broken system we spotted was the ineffective use of Facebook and LinkedIn ads, which often leads to a black hole for marketers' money. Another broken system is the ATS (applicant tracking system) used by companies for job applications, which can bury resumes and make it hard for candidates to get noticed.

Customer service systems that rely on scripts rather than human interaction are another example of a broken system, making it difficult for consumers to get the help they need.

The relationship between citizens and their governments is another area where broken systems can be found, with taxes not always leading to progress in society.

* Are there any industries or sectors that are particularly prone to broken systems?

* Can technology play a role in fixing broken systems, or does it often exacerbate them?

* How can we balance the need for efficiency with the need for fairness in our systems?

* How can we ensure that our efforts to fix broken systems don't inadvertently create new ones?
