Displaying a wide variety of emotions, moods, and so much more, the artist known as Sage Phoenix has just shared their wonderful new EP, Forever. Currently holding down the music scene in Longview, Texas, Sage Phoenix is a 22 year old queer singer and songwriter who’s simply blown us away with their efforts on their debut EP, Forever. Having been in the making for quite some time, you can quickly feel the bursting amount of love and passion that’s been infused into this wildly diverse and fusion-filled record. Listeners can expect an inspired blend of R&B, synthpop, and that signature essence that essentially makes it feel so special.

Returning once again to speak all about his latest track “Córdoba”, we got the wonderful opportunity to sit with the artist known as Sans Patrie. Fusing together elements of Hard Rock, Rockabilly, and Britpop, Sans Patrie’s work ethic and musical delivery continues to stay unmatched. From the mind of Fernando Borrego and his solo project comes another absolute stunner that he’s just shared titled “Córdoba”. Following up on our last conversation with the artist, we got another update on what he’s been working on, an even closer look into the creation of this single, and an outlook on whatever the rest of this year holds. It’s undoubtedly a conversation and song you won’t want to miss.

It’s always a pleasure when Jilly and David Morey of Lost On The Metro stop by for an interview and this time around we got the opportunity to chat about their newest EP, Buried Bones. As always if you happen to be unfamiliar with the greatness that is Lost On The Metro, they’re a husband and wife Americana duo currently based out of Saint Louis, Missouri. Over the years we’ve had the chance to speak with these talented musicians in which they’ve openly shared a behind the scenes look on how their music is made, the synergy of their relationship, and so much more. Thankfully their creative streaks are still alive and they’ve sincerely crushed it with the fresh release of an all new EP Buried Bones, in which we’re urging everyone out there to give it a spin.

Returning for another fantastic conversation, but this time chatting all about her singles “French Film” and “Dead Bouquets”, we welcomed back Emilia Vaughn! For those potentially out of the loop, Emilia Vaughn is an American alternative pop singer and songwriter originally from San Diego, California, but now based in Boston while she attends Berklee College of Music. Continuing to expand and refine her sound, she’s let loose two wonderful new songs called “French Film” and “Dead Bouquets”. The two are sonically different and diverse, but 100% show off her versatility as a blossoming musician. We can’t wait for everyone to enjoy our follow up conversation with Emilia.

Building off our stellar conversation from nearly 6 months ago, Tom Maroon made his way back to talk all about his long-awaited debut record, Lowflyers. Just in case you’re out of the loop, Tom Maroon is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer currently based out of Albany, New York. No stranger to music in the slightest, he’s been immersed in his scene for more than 13 years now and his attention to detail and craftsmanship is undoubtedly the first thing you’ll experience. Our last conversation covered the in’s and outs of his track “Lost & Found”, but thankfully Tom was kind enough to join once again to talk about the full project, Lowflyers. One thing is for sure, we think everyone out there is going to love this.

Coming up on the year anniversary of their debut record, Honey on the Hi-Fi, we got the wonderful opportunity to sit and speak with Townland to hear all the specifics on this outstanding album. For those potentially out of the loop, Townland is a Los Angeles-based project that’s made up of Shannon Locke (lead vocals), Matt Gourley (guitar, e-bow, vocals), Daniel Michicoff (bass, vocals), and Wade Ryan (guitar, keyboards, percussion, vocals). Although the band has been around since around 2008 and experienced many iterations, finally they managed to get out their long awaited debut album titled Honey on the Hi-Fi. It’s an eclectic mix of soft rock, country, Americana, and so much more that comes together and delivers an unbelievably wholesome and uplifting listening experience. Plain and simple, we love it, and truly cannot recommend it enough.

Taking the time to chat all about the band’s latest record Heart of the Golden Mystics, Winchester from Winchester 7 & the Runners gave us all the info on this fantastic album. For those who might not be in the know Winchester 7 & the Runners have just unleashed a ukulele-rock EP on the world called Heart of the Golden Mystics. It’s jam packed with heart, soul, passion, and a front to back album experience that delivers in all facets. It takes the power of vivid songwriting and uplifts the listener with vibrant and ultimately catchy songs for a journey that we’re highly recommending you get into. Of course our conversation with the front man only led to the positives, which is why you should check out both as soon as you can.

Celebrating the release of her sensational new album Cognizance, Brenda Carsey was kind enough to drop in for a full interview detailing all the specifics of the record. For those potentially out of the loop, Brenda Carsey is a multi-talented vocalist, songwriter, producer, and instrumentalist currently based out of Los Angeles. We’ve reviewed her extensively in the past, so you can only imagine our sheer delight to know that she had another full-length record on the way. It’s called Cognizance and might just be her most mature and cohesive work yet. Taking years to accomplish, we can confidently claim that the end result has surpassed all of our wildest expectations. Of course, we’re urging everyone to listen and to check out our chat to learn a little bit more about it.

Fresh off the release of the band’s outstanding debut single titled “Home To You”, we got the wonderful opportunity to speak with Graham Waldrop of Graham and the Band Upstairs. Made up of Graham Waldrop (Vocals, Guitar), Jeff Dei Dolori (Guitar), Josef Bell (Bass), Zach Strum (Drums), Veronica Roman (Vocals), the band is a relatively new project, but they’re already packing a serious punch with the amount of talent that’s emanating from their sound. The debut single is titled “Home To You”, and for this Atlanta-based group, they’re fusing together a wide variety of sounds and styles that all seem to stem from Americana. Our discussion with Graham was surely eye opening, but also gave us the perfect insight into the craft and everything else we can expect to come soon.

Over the last 23 years of the song’s existence, there’s a better than zero short you’ve heard “Absolutely (Story of a Girl)” from Nine Days. Well, we got the wonderful opportunity to speak with the frontman John Hampson to get an inside look on the revitalization that the song is experiencing. Best known for this mega hit that still occasionally pops in our head or sends us on a nostalgia trip of the early 2000’s, John Hampson of Nine Days is experiencing what any artist could only dream of. At the moment, this song is living a second, third, and fourth life due to becoming a vital part of one of the most talked about movies in years, A24’s Everything Everywhere All At Once. It played a major role itself in the movie, which we highly recommend viewing, but the track is also about to be used in the upcoming Apple TV+ series, Shrinking, starring Harrison Ford and Jason Segel. The episode is out on February 3rd and we’re urging everyone to enjoy that as well.
