What's the purpose of government? How do we make our society benefit all citizens? Being an American citizen, from the bold print at least, sounds promising. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness...however, in practice there seems to be something within the fine print of our democracy that isn't allowing all citizens to experience these stated ideals.
