We Used to be Fun...

Levi declares his analogist superiority and talks about 3d printing… all to Amy’s amusement. Then, the kids talk about Star Wars characters, etc.

Who is Kate Beckinsale’s latest boytoy? We discuss our favorite bands and songs, and vacation options. Levi rants about sexism in parenting, we discuss gender norms and expectations, Amy does a British accent, and the kids talk with dad at bedtime.

Some quick updates on this episode. We talk cholesterol, dance class, Nora’s preschool, Emperor Palpatine, and some triumphs and fails. We play a game where we try to guess songs without music or lyricism, and the kids talk about Woody, Star Wars, and continue being adorable.

A quick update on Levi’s degree, triumphs and fails, Amy takes the kids to play in a mud pit, and Kyla gets a bug on her hair.

We’re on iTunes! Amy gives an update on the WSU strike (which is over now, but wasn’t as of this recording). Charlie Brown is hilarious. We play a game of “what words we’d use to describe eachother”, which goes exactly as we should’ve expected, and Kyla talks about her favorite foods.

What are bad habits that we selfishly want to let our kids do, even if its not good for them? What are our least favorite parenting responsibilities, and favorite things to do as a family? We eat some kettle cooked potato chips whilst podcasting, argue about what age kids should get a tv and/or cell phone, Amy trash talks the late Steve Jobs, and the kids do animal impressions.
