This is the third week of our guided Examen prayer episodes! The Examen is a way of focusing our attention on how we have moved through the day, looking to see where God has been at work and with us in all of the mundane moments of daily life.
Wherever you are listening to this today, some things in your life might be pretty different than they were a week ago. And for some of us, all these changes might feel a little scary. We might not really understand why things are different right now. People we know might seem worried, or anxious, and we don’t know how we can help.
So today, we have a special episode for everyone who is walking through this worldwide experience of pandemic together. Join me, as we call out and wait on God.
We Wonder is written and hosted by me, Sarah Dahl, and is produced by Richard Clark. Music for today’s episode features “Sing Me to Sleep,” by the Likes of Us and “Safe and Sound,” by Graham Colton.
We’ll be back tomorrow with this week’s regularly scheduled Lent episode; you can also join us and pray along with our daily Examen episodes. In the meantime you can learn more about We Wonder, at wewonderpod.com, or you can follow us on Instagram and Twitter at @wewonderpod.

Welcome to We Wonder: Lent. This is the second week of Lent: just as Israel wandered in the desert for forty years, and Jesus fasted in the wilderness for forty days, we will spend the next four weeks walking with Jesus toward the cross.
Scripture passage: Luke 15:1-10
I wonder why some people were upset about who Jesus was having dinner with? I wonder what they wanted him to do differently?
I wonder if I have ever felt lost, or separated, or alone? Are there places I go where I don’t feel safe or at home? Do I need to tell someone I love? Can I talk to God about that feeling?
Have I ever found something I have loved, and lost? Can I remember what that felt like on the inside? I wonder if God feels exactly that way about me?
I wonder if I can believe that God is always looking for me because God delights in me? That I bring God joy? That God’s party isn’t complete without me there?
I wonder if I can be still right now, and trust that God will seek me out? Can I ask God to help me wait and hope, because I know that he is loving and good?
Kind God, all of us are like sheep. We have wandered away from you. But you are like the shepherd, who will look until you find us. Help us to wait, and watch, and hope to be found.
In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
