Baseball, hotdogs, apple pie and...Laura Dern? Join us as this American treasure gets her own Weak and on Fleek deep dive. Will Rich and Katrina agree on which of her honest acting portrayals is weak and which is on fleek?
Denzel vs Yul, Pratt vs McQueen, Samurai vs Bugs. As we look at the power of the Seven Samurai story and its remakes Katrina and Richard explore Japanese language, star power, bug comedy, cultural influences, and the wisdom of insulting John Williams (sorry John).
For over 60 years, one voice has been more prolific in Hollywood than any other, William Shatner. But we’re going to talk about Morgan Freeman instead. Listen as we discuss 7 films starring this “performance enhancing performer” in all his gravitas and grace. Breathe in the Star power dust and listen to us explore the Weak and the Fleek.
When it comes to Mario vs. Sonic does it really just come down to Jack Black vs. Jim Carrey vs. Dennis Hopper? Will we fall for the bonkers de-evolving power of 90’s Mario or the sweet lull of “Peaches”? Will we even care at all? Probably. Listen and find out!
Welcome back to Weak and on Fleek! In this season 8 opener, we're laying aside our usual format for a thoughtful, brooding Bruce Wayne style deep dive. Who is the best Batman? We'll send out the bat signal and see who shows up. It's...It's...Hayden Christensen? May the bat mobile be with you.
"Like a surgeon" Rich and Katrina adeptly go about hacking into the five parody paragons of Hot Shots, Space balls, Monty Python, Airplane and Weird. "Tis but a scratch," Rich says when Katrina metaphorically nicks him. She then sympathetically offers, "May the Schwartz be with you." The producers both roll their eyes whispering off camera, "Surely you can't be serious? Another Star Wars reference?" "I am serious. And don't call me Shirley."
Hell hath no fury like Richard and Katrina debating the cliche to the whimsy from these women scorned: Meg Ryan, Roseanne Barr, Goldie Hawn, Diane Keaton, Bette Midler, Stockard Channing, Leslie Mann, Cameron Diaz, Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, and Dolly Parton.
