Episode 47 - Wealth Means WAY More Than Money with Doug Cornfield
Money is great and as a resource can be used in many positive ways, but wealth absolutely means so much more than just a number in your bank account. In order to be wealthy, you must feel whole and complete as a person.
Doug J. Cornfield is an author, speaker, former college athlete, and the director of Disability, Dream, and Do (D3Day) sports camps, created in partnership with Dave Clark.
After an incredibly successful college track career, he became a senior financial adviser at Merrill Lynch before returning to his entrepreneurial roots to partner with Dave Clark to organize the D3Day events and their company Best Burn Enterprises, LLC.
Key Moments:
Why Doug became involved with athletics for people with disabilities
How Doug and Dave Clark first got introduced and how that led to a partnership
Why Dave became intrigued by the types of questions that Doug was asking
How Doug's son Gideon has gotten involved in the organization to help keep the camps going and inspire others
About the movie that is in talks of being made about Dave Clark's life story
Where Dave feels like true wealth comes from and how to acquire it
What the Pulling Each Other Along Collective is and how they are helping others
Favorite Quote:
"If it was about the money I would have stopped long ago, but it's about the passion behind what you're doing. So where the true wealth comes, is in our passions."
